House of Kaos creates immersive gothic events in Newcastle upon Tyne — themed dinners and grand balls where costume is required, theatre is everywhere, and every detail has been placed with intent.
Around the events has grown a community of the like-minded: gothic souls, performers, artists and anyone drawn to an evening less ordinary. Whether you come masked or simply curious, there is a seat at the table for you.

Performance sits at the heart of every House of Kaos night, and we're always looking for artists to help create it.
From Volcarna's live set at our first grand ball, the Vampire Ball, to the smaller moments of theatre woven between courses at our themed dinners, performance sits at the centre of a House of Kaos night, not around the edges of it. If your act belongs somewhere gothic, dark or a little strange, we'd like to hear from you.
We book for both our grand balls and our smaller dinners and gatherings, so there's room for acts of very different scale — from a full stage set to something intimate enough to work table-side.

Yes — House of Kaos events are strictly 21+. We may ask you to show valid photo ID on arrival, so please bring it with you.
Costume is required at themed events, as stated on the event listing. Each event has its own theme, so check the details on the Events section above for what to wear — or see our full Dress Code guide for inspiration and guidelines.
Most tickets are sold through Eventbrite — just follow the "Tickets on Eventbrite" link on the event you're interested in. Some bookings are also made directly with House of Kaos; if you book directly, your booking is covered by our own terms rather than Eventbrite's.
This depends on how you booked. Tickets bought through Eventbrite are covered by Eventbrite's own refund and transfer process. Tickets booked directly with House of Kaos are non-refundable but can be transferred to someone else — just email us in advance with the new attendee's details. Our events are held at a range of striking venues across Newcastle and the North East, chosen to suit each night's theme. The venue for each event is always listed on that event's details above.
Absolutely — many guests come solo. House of Kaos has grown a community of like-minded people, and you'll find a welcoming room whether you arrive with friends or by yourself.
Once a listing sells out, we're unable to add extra tickets. Follow us on social media (links below) to hear about new dates and future events as soon as they're announced.
